London, UK – October 28, 2025 – Urban.MASS Ltd, a trailblazer in sustainable urban transportation, has started automotive engineering works on its revolutionary EV-based floc pod with a new in-house team.
Following its Pre-Series A 1st close, the in-house engineering team led by Tony King (former Arkk, Lotus and Jaguar Land Rover engineering lead) brings together immensely talented designers & engineers with decades of experience working at leading automotive and aerospace titans including:
This engineering phase of work will prepare the detailed floc pod design data for coordination with Urban.MASS’s preferred contract manufacturing partner Cecomp S.p.A., a Turin-based leader in automotive prototyping and low-volume production.
This is an exciting moment in bringing Urban.MASS’s innovative floc-pod “robotaxi” vehicle to life, with Cecomp set to build a full-scale, functional prototype at its state-of-the-art facilities in Turin, the heart of automotive excellence.
“ Since our Pre Series A 1st close, we have recruited an outstanding team of 10 automotive engineers from the best-in-breed of British, European and American automotive design and engineering. Together our team represents over 180 years of experience across not only automotive, but also aerospace, rail, defence, motorsport and space.
Our floc pod robo-taxi is built on the foundations of a smart, connected EV for our DuoRail but its DNA lies in aerospace, making our engineering team ideally suited to this entirely new type of vehicle and new type of seamless, connected mobility. “
Urban.MASS’s floc-pod, designed for the proprietary Duo Rail™ system, addresses the soaring demand for sustainable, autonomous urban transport. Our team’s design capabilities combined with Cecomp’s certifications, robotic manufacturing, and global reach ensure scalable, high-quality production. With strong market traction in emerging regions and a clear path to production, Urban.MASS is poised for exponential growth.
Urban.MASS invites investors to participate in our Pre-Series A fundraising round (2nd Close) or register interest for our upcoming Series A.
