Floc® Duo Rail® system offers capacity to match demand with high frequency ‘platoons’ of pods. Its narrow and flexible footprint minimises the need for earthworks, costly tunnels and large stations.

Environmental
Affordable, smart and green
Many cities around the globe are striving for Net Zero by 2050.
Floc® Duo Rail™ lines can be installed more swiftly than building a traditional transit system or even a new road. Its light infrastructure consumes far less concrete and steel than light rail.
Its solar panels provide much of the energy required for operation.
And the driverless Floc® Duo Rail™ trains are smart - designed to match capacity to demand, reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
Installation
The Floc® Duo Rail™ system is a twenty-first century solution to cities' needs for efficient, affordable and sustainable mass transit systems. Floc® Duo Rail™ transit systems can reduce the overall capital cost by half with greatly reduced environmental disruption. Using Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) elements for assembly on-site, installation is quick and simple.
Scalability
Floc® Duo Rail™ systems can be scaled from a small local link to a city-wide network.
A system can be expanded as needs grow and budgets permit. Sections of elevated track can be relocated if required.
Stations match rider demand, ranging in scale from small ‘bus stops’ to large city-centre interchanges.
Platform lengths do not need to match the platoon length since the platoon can break up as needed when entering and exiting a station.
Long trains in the city centre can divide into shorter trains to serve outlying suburbs, matching capacity to demand, and providing high frequency services throughout the network.

Preparing Floc® for a distributive and autonomous future
Design Development – urban.MASS is working with the world’s leading automotive designers and vehicle subsystem specialists to ensure we are safeguarding our Floc® pods for an autonomous future. Our objective is to deliver a truly flexible on demand transport solution ultimately capable of running on a combination of elevated segregated guideways and autonomously on public highways.
First and last mile services – remotely controlled and ultimately fully autonomous on road operation will provide the opportunity to deliver a genuine high-speed, on demand door-to-door service for passengers and goods. Truly Mobility as a Service.
Distributive transport networks – more distributive and complex networks of connectivity across cities and urban environments will be achievable without the expense and constraints associated with having to provide fixed infrastructure on every route.
Road map – initially centrally controlled driverless operations on segregated guideways will be supplemented with pods remotely driven on public highways and ultimately pods will become fully autonomous operating on public roads and on elevated guideways.
Road map to full autonomy
